We learn with heavy heart about a heinous and brutal attack on innocent cyclists and pedestrians in New York City.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and survivors of this completely un-Islamic act.  While the alleged perpetrator is reported to have invoked Islamic slogans, the religion of Islam unequivocally condemns an act he is suspected of committing.

The Denver Islamic Society is disgusted and horrified at the terrorist attack committed in Barcelona, Spain. We stand in solidarity with the world in emphatically and unequivocally condemning this criminal attack on innocent people. We mourn for the victims and pray for strength for their families and healing for the wounded. We hope to see an end to this senseless violence and acts of terror with the perpetrators brought to justice.

The Denver Islamic Society believes people of every faith need to stand together against such criminal acts.
