Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Baraktuhu,

A RTD Security Guard was shot on Tuesday in Denver while on duty. Based on the media reports, it seems the suspect was radicalized and was reported to law enforcement by local Muslim leadership.

Denver mosque leaders feared RTD shooting suspect had radicalized, reported him to Homeland Security

Islam teaches us to console and comfort those who have been hurt. So, ICNA Relief is starting a drive to raise funds for the victim’s family.

You may donate online using the link below or give your donations to ICNA representatives for this drive.

An attack today in Ohio clearly shows that we are all endanger of being victims of terror attacks in any place and at any time.

We are truly concerned by such horrible events and we send our wishes of healing and a speedy recovery to the victims.

We would like state loudly and clearly that the Denver Islamic Society and Muslims across this nation reject any notion that these attacks or any previous ones are connected to our beliefs or religion. We hold the individual or individuals exclusively accountable for their actions. These individuals do not represent Islam or Muslims, they only represent themselves and will be accountable to God on the Day of Judgement for their actions.

We firmly reject terrorism and extremism from any individual, group, or nation and stand for justice and the sanctity of life taught by the Almighty.

We pray for Peace, Justice and Unity,

Greetings and Peace be upon all of you!
The Denver Islamic Society strongly condemns the heinous terror attack that claimed the lives of tens of innocent people and left many more injured in Orlando, FL.
The attack took place during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, when all Muslims are expected to boost their faith by fasting, reading the Holy Qur’an, visiting relatives and friends, and giving charity. Our Community feels deeply sorry such a violent act took place instead. We pray for a peaceful world full of love and tolerance.
In peace,
DIS Administration
